Worth reading article - an utter truth.
Worth reading article.
An utter truth…………..!!!!I don't know if it is true but it is written beautifully. It's for all Indians staying abroad for more money without their family.
ONE BEDROOM FLAT... AN INDIAN SOFTWARE ENGINEER'S LIFE...- A Bitter Reality
As the dream of most parents I had acquired a degree in Software Engineer and joined a company based in USA , the land of braves and opportunity. When I arrived in the USA , it was as if a dream had come true.
Here at last I was in the place where I want to be. I decided I would be staying in this country for about Five years in which time I would have earned enough money to settle down in India .
My father was a government employee and after his retirement, the only asset he could acquire was a decent one bedroom flat.
I wanted to do some thing more than him. I started feeling homesick and lonely as the time passed. I used to call home and speak to my parents every week using cheap international phone cards. Two years passed, two years of Burgers at McDonald's and pizzas and discos and 2 years watching the foreign exchange rate getting happy whenever the Rupee value went down.
Finally I decided to get married. Told my parents that I have only 10 days of holidays and everything must be done within these 10 days. I got my ticket booked in the cheapest flight. Was jubilant and was actually enjoying hopping for gifts for all my friends back home. If I miss anyone then here will be talks. After reaching home I spent home one week going through all the photographs of girls and as the time was getting shorter I was forced to select one candidate.
In-laws told me, to my surprise, that I would have to get married in 2-3 days, as I will not get anymore holidays. After the marriage, it was time to return to USA , after giving some money to my parents and telling the neighbors to look after them, we returned to USA.
My wife enjoyed this country for about two months and then she started feeling lonely. The frequency of calling India increased to twice in a week sometimes 3 times a week. Our savings started diminishing. After two more years we started to have kids. Two lovely kids, a boy and a girl, were gifted to us by the almighty.Every time I spoke to my parents, they asked me to come to India so that they can see their grand-children.
Every year I decide to go to India . But part work part monetary conditions prevented it. Years went by and visiting India was a distant dream. Then suddenly one day I got a message that my parents were seriously sick. I tried but I couldn't get any holidays and thus could not go to India . The next message I got was my parents had passed away and as there was no one to do the last rights the society members had done whatever they could. I was depressed. My parents had passed away without seeing their grand children.
After couple more years passed away, much to my children's dislike and my wife's joy we returned to India to settle down. I started to look for a suitable property, but to my dismay my savings were short and the property prices had gone up during all these years. I had to return to the USA .
My wife refused to come back with me and my children refused to stay in India . My 2 children and I returned to USA after promising my wife I would be back for good after two years.
Time passed by, my daughter decided to get married to an American and my son was happy living in USA . I decided that had enough and wound-up every thing and returned to India . I had just enough money to buy a decent 2 bedroom flat in a well-developed locality.
Now I am 60 years old and the only time I go out of the flat is for the routine visit to the nearby temple. My faithful wife has also left me and gone to the holy abode.
Sometimes I wondered was it worth all this? My father, even after staying in India , had a house to his name and I too have the same nothing more.
I lost my parents and children for just ONE EXTRA BEDROOM.
Looking out from the window I see a lot of children dancing. This damned cable TV has spoiled our new generation and these children are losing their values and culture because of it. I get occasional cards from my children asking I am alright. Well at least they remember me.
Now perhaps after I die it will be the neighbors again who will be performing my last rights, God Bless them. But the question still remains 'was all this worth it?'
I am still searching for an answer................!!!!

Serious problems for females.
1. This is about date rape drugs. There r atleast 3 drugs. 2 of them have been discussed here. Check http://www.snopes.com/medical/drugs/progesterex.asp for more details.
2. Hey send this scrap to all ur female friends and protect them.FOR EVERYGIRL an important news ... PLEASE REMOVE UR PHOTO FROM ORKUT NFROM ALBUMS... THERE HAVE BEEN 2-3 CASES OF PORNOGRAPHY....PEOPLE RCOPYING PHOTOS N ATTACHING THEM TO PORN STUFF... SO PLEASE TAKE CARE OFTHIS... ALSO REMOVE UR ADDRESSES N PHONE NO. FROM PROFILES... SPREADIT..TO UR FRIENDS ...PLLLLLLLLZZZZZZZZZ guys send it to ur friends...thishappened to a gal on orkut and it messed UP her life . ..let it nothappen to anyone else and to yourself. Also remove ur photos from ur other profiles & photo albums.
3. HI! An incident took place in Delhi - a young girl was raped by a man posing as a plain clothes officer; he asked her to come to the police station when she and her male friend didn't have a driver's license to show. He sent the boy off to get his license and asked the girl to accompany him to the police station. Took her instead to an isolated area where the horrendous crime was committed. The law [which most are not aware of] clearly states that between 6 pm and 6 am, a woman has the right to REFUSE to go to the Police Station, even if an arrest warrant has been issued against her. It is a procedural issue that a woman can be arrested between 6 pm and 6 am, ONLY if she is arrested by a woman officer and taken to an ALL WOMEN police station. And if she is arrested by a male officer, it has to be proven that a woman officer was on duty at the time of arrest. Please fwd this to as many girls you know.. Also to boys.. coz this can help them protect their wives, sisters and mothers. It is good for us to know our rights. To what extent it comes of use remains to be seen in any situation. But as they say, knowledge is power. I did not know this and am sure some of us don't ? please be informed..Take a look here. U can leave ur opinion here - http://www.merinews.com/catFull.jsp?articleID=124105&catID=2&category=India&rtFlg=rtFlg

These happens only at grand restaurants.
1. This is a very serious matter. Last year from 'Kansar' restaurant, Vadodara (Baroda) of Gujarati Thali - in my thali (dish) 1 bee fell & on the same day, same time from one other person's thali 1 mosquito had been found. I was the mkost regular visitor of that restaurant so I & that person didn't make that matter public & given a chance to the manager & authoritative persons a chance. This year last week, one cockroach had been found from a thali of a customer while eating. The owner of that restaurant is also the owner of 'Kalapi' sarees' shop, Vadodara (Baroda). From many years, he just sits @ Kalapi. The manager of the Kansar reaches him to give each day's money & show all the transactions of a day.One similar incident occured last month in 'Sasuji' restaurant of Gujarati Thali, Vadodara (Baroda) - where in my thali there fell a mosquito. Both the restaurants r the premium Gujarati Thali restaurants of Vadodara (Baroda) charging 80 Rs. per thali. I m regular outside eater from nearly last 10 years but never in my life at any small restaurant or at any such restaurant which is not well-known or even any restaurant which is only filled by me e.g. 'Chappanbhogh' restaurant of Gujarati Thali, Vadodara (Baroda) or even any lari (lauri) [not even shop]; I found any insect in my dish.So never visit any of those 2 restaurants in future & pass this msg 2 as much as u can.
2. http://www.baroda.com which conducts baroda quiz every month, the winner of that quiz gives 20% discount for 2 on their one buffet lunch & one lucky draw winner gets 2 free pases of their one buffet lunch of Hotel Sayaji actually is cheating with people of Baroda. As I myself won that quiz & lucky draw several years ago but rather getting me those free pases directly 2 me from Hotel Sayaji, they told me to come back some another day as they were busy. On another day morning they told me that the authorised person is not there so I went there in evening. They wasted my half an hour, thens saw my print out of winning notification & told me that passes r not supposed 2 b collected from there but from different address which must b in that winning email or on site but none of there so I contacted them again & they gave me one phone number which was always coming busy. I somehow got their address but is at very complicated industrial area & was unable to find the actual place. When the end of the winning time is about to over that busy number contacted me & when I told them whole story, she didn't told me sorry but just gave me same address. Neither anybody from Hotel Sayaji's staff told me sorry.
3. Vadodara's Monica Galaxy Restaurant's owner is one rough person. When v were there with our guest some years back, they had only one cold drink Mirinda. When our guest were in the mood of drinking coke, pepsi or thums up. When we told him our problem, he refused on both to carry ourselves the required drink from anywhere else or providing themselves. After so many arguments & letting him know that it was him who is doing business & not us & he has to satisfy us as v were customers but he refused all the time so v simply switched to Kalyan Cafe Restaurant in Sayajigunj, Vadodara.
4. Some Jains came to the Manager of the Radhika Restaurant, Near Railway Station, Vadodara which is of Gujarati Thali & told him that they want Pure Jain food, but instead of giving clear cut answers, he was dancing them around. Atlast when those Jains were not satisfied 2 eat there, they asked if there is any other restaurant near by from which they can eat Gujarati or Punjabi. In reply that guy showed them one Havmor restaurant's address which is really combination of both veg & non-veg. My bill was left 2 pay & was busy 2 go immediately 2 somewhere else. On my argument while paying, he laughed & replied that such person deserves only such thing. I quickly ran but till that time they were gone. I was very sorry but couldn't do anything other than that as I have 2 quickly rush to my destination. One such type of incident also happened in Kansar Restaurant, Vadodara where one of the authrised person of that restaurant didn't gave direct answers to one Jain who came there to eat pure Jain food. While that Jain left from there without eating there, on my argument, that person told me that Jains shouldn't come to eat outside. When I told him that I m also Jain, he argued that but u do it onions, garlic, potatoes, etc. I replied him back that it is only when I m in hurry, otherwise I always eat pure Jain food.

Dear Friends and Public,
A few weeks ago, in a movie theatre, a person felt something poking from her seat. When she got up to see what it was, she found a needle sticking out of the seat with a note attached saying "You have just been infected by HIV". The Disease Control Center (in Paris ) reports many similar events in many other cities recently. All tested needles were HIV Positive.
The Center also reports that needles have been found in cash dispensers at public banking machines. We ask everyone to use extreme caution when faced with this kind of situation. All public chairs/seats should be inspected with vigilance and caution before use. A careful visual inspection should be enough. In addition, they ask that each of you pass this message along to all members of your family and your friends of the potential danger.
Recently, one doctor has narrated a somewhat similar instance that hppened to one of his patients at the Priya Cinema in Delhi . A young girl, engaged and about to be married in a couple of months, was pricked while the movie was going on. The tag with the needle had the message welcome to the World of HIV family". Though the doctors told her family that it takes about 6 months before the virus grows strong enough to start damaging the system and a healthy victim could survive about 5-6 years, the girl died in 4 months, perhaps more because of the "Shock thought".
We all have to be careful at public places, rest God help! Just think about saving a life by forwarding this message. Please, take a few seconds of your time to pass along.
With Regards, Arvind Khamitkar , I.A.S, Director of Medical & Research Div, Chennai.
Rather than forwarding irrelevant mails, kindly pass this to every one. Probably ur mail can help some save his/her life .
Another same incident happened when an aids infected beautiful girl asked a man on a bike for lift & then on the way when man was driving - she opened her purse, took an injection of her blood, pinched that injection to that man & said, "Welcome to AIDS world".

Old & new in anti-reservation movement.
Dear Youth For Equality members,
In our fight against govt. irrational and divisive reservation policy, we have achieved numerous successes. Currently we are challenging the reservation for OBC's in admission to the Central Education Institution. We have so far succeeded to get a stay on the Act.
Teachers are the makers and the government is now bringing its divisive agenda to this dignified line of work. The government has issued a notice for the implementation of reservation in the appointment of teachers in Central education institutions from current academic session. This government order is yet to be challenged and wee have decided to challenge it in the Supreme Court of India. Since most of our resources are already engaged in the current case, we need your help to succeed at the legal front. Hence, funds from like minded people are extra-ordinarily required. Your financial contribution may help the new generation to get excellent education uninterrupted by political interference. We have nothing to offer in return except the honest submission to the cause and utmost sincerity in using the funds. Please let us know if you are willing to help us by mailing back.
Teachers are the makers and the government is now bringing its divisive agenda to this dignified line of work. Government has issued a notice for the implementation of 27% reservation for OBC in the appointment of teachers in central educational institutions from current academic session. Please come forward against this destructive policy. So please Sign this petition - http://www.petitiononline.com/E162/
